Special Projects

Creativity, Research and Experimentation

This section brings together all the more experimental and creative pilot projects. All these experiences remind us that we can do a lot and that there can be several ways and visions of reaching the same goal.

Exciting and audacious collaborations promote a common and alternative view of reality.

Recovering materials, recycling, new packaging, upcycling, alternative uses, reinterpretations, and new interpretations.

It is never as simple as it seems, but for us, it is worth looking for new ways and giving space to those who combine their sensitivity to the environment, ethics and social with the most creative and artistic vision of reality.

In progress

Closed Circular Economy

With the selection of raw materials of natural origin, we promote a return to fiber starting from the end of the life of the garment.
The design becomes an integral and differentiating part in the construction of the right garment for the realization of a closed cycle: following the principles of eco-design, we aim to reduce fabric waste, and the processing times that involve energy consumption and to facilitate the disassembly phase of the garment.

What is the status of our project called Recywork?

The garments were produced by our headquarter (San Giovanni Teatino, Abruzzo) and sent to the technical-scientific district partner of the project. They have undergone an aging process of about a year to simulate their real use. After this period, the garments were analysed and subjected to a series of tests to measure specific parameters shared with our Research & Development department.
After the data has been recorded, the garments are returned to our headquarters and destined for disassembly. At this point, the accessories are separated from the fabric and any logo or other prints are removed.
In the case of Recywork, the prints can not be eliminated as they are water-based.
From now on, the selection of the second material useful for recycling will be carried out and then, via, with all the other phases that will allow the return to the original fibre, a second weaving, until the packaging of new garments.

Open Circular Economy

RECYCLE

Garments that do not conform to circular economy processes are intended for other types of projects, those that can use, or even enhance, the second raw material that is obtained from the recycling of mixed fabrics, not produced in eco-design. These are all projects that involve the use of clothing at the end of life to get something useful.

To this end, we carry out experimental projects that allow us, for example, to create special and alternative packaging for our products and merchandising to complete our offer.

UPCYCLING

Alternatively, all up-cycling projects that aim to create new products with a high perceived value will be considered.
Every upcycling project will have optimal results if addressed from the beginning of garment creation. Otherwise, it will still be possible to produce an upcycling object with its own utility, functional or aesthetic, that has a perceived value corresponding or higher than the original product. Upcycling inherently involves the creative re-use of materials, rethought to forge something new and desirable
